Go Green: The benefits of green tea
It’s no longer news to point out that there are various health benefits in drinking green tea. Nevertheless, few people actually understand what those benefits are, and usually fall under the category of, “they say it’s good for me, so I drink it.”
The main advantage of using green tea can be found in its antioxidant and restorative properties.
Green tea has been shown to have antioxidants known as catechins, which have the additional potential of preventing other cancerous cells and blood clots. While including green tea in your diet and may not be sufficient to staying healthy, it can certainly contribute, along with diet and exercise, in helping you live into old age. With this goal in mind, it’s no wonder that doctors encourage their patients to drink it up.
